Possible Negligence Scandal At Shallowater Fire Department

LCR EXCLUSIVE!!

This editor has interviewed several people in connection to the deadly fire in Shallowater,Texas. One eyewitness has an unidentified government worker with last name of Stewart searching home and announcing,"All Clear". That term is used to proceed with extinguishing said fire since no people were inside. It's thought this government worker "half ass" searched the building if at all. The lady owner was later found dead. Shallowater has 13 volunteer firemen with one named Stewart. Aric Stewart is a volunteer fireman and Jeremy Stewart is an EMS tech. It's unclear if it was Aric or Jeremy who give the "all clear" but whoever it was could be found negligent to the point of death for a Shallowater resident. State fire marshals have cordoned off the area and neighbors are keeping mum about what they saw. This editor believes that the negligence could be criminal.

Businesses should pay to finance new soccer fields by Carolyn Morris

Reprint of Letter To Editor of Lubbock AJ from October 31,2009

I suggest that the Lubbock hotels, motels, restaurants, retail stores, et al., contribute to finance the proposed soccer fields since they are the ones expected to reap the monetary rewards, and let the beleaguered taxpayers struggle with all the proposed bond issues and local, state, and U.S. taxes.
