Tom "Dumb" Head faces re-election in March of 2010

Tom Head is up for re-election next year. He's a career "Hog At The Trough" and currently gets $100,000 a year plus benefits. Head is a known wimp and doesn't believe in open meetings, open records and cuts deals with private contractors without getting bids and has a list of donors that are as questionable as they come. Head is a former "campus cop" as well as 2 bit justice of the peace. He defeated a semi-competent Don McBeth for county judge. He was nicknamed Tom "DumbHead" while employed at Texas Tech as a supply clerk. Here's his 2006 list of big donors.

W.R.Collier,$500,American State Bank
Brant O'Hair,$1,000,O'Hair Shutters,Republican Precinct Chair and spokesman for Keep Lubbock Dry PAC that lost wet/dry referendum

It's unclear if Tom Head will seek re-election in next March's primary and several names are being floated as opponents but no announcements have been made. Filing for next year's primary ballot starts on December 2 and runs till January 2. Voters can only hope that Tom Head,Patti Jones and Mark Heinrich will draw serious republican opposition since all 3 are tax, tax, spend, spend republicans that are truly bad for taxpayers.
