LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - State Representative Carl Isset held an open forum this morning to discuss the recent legislative session with voters. "I think the overarching concern was is government making use of money we give them at the state and local lever and what are the accountability mechanisms that are in place," said Isset. ______(KCBD copy)______
The above copy has Isett spelled WRONG by a weekend intern at KCBD. KCBD is no worse than Chris Van Wagenen who spelled Isett Isaac recently. The meeting was full even though the event was preceded by a downpour, literally, but attendees were versed on political process. Isett did indicate he still trust local elected officials(city council, commissioners court)more than the state legislature with spending projects. This editor pointed out that local officials have become as reckless as state legislature with such wasteful expenditures as SkyBox bartabs and new studies on boondoggles like outer loop study. Such local activists as Chris Winn,AFIIG,Gary Bennett,Ken Corbin,Irene Howell and Carl Isett's staff participated in Q&A to get more info on legislative session. Local City Councilman Todd Klein was attendance, without his "Klown Squad".
