DALLAS (AP) - About 407 recent eighth-graders at a Dallas middle school are being urged to retake the state's math exam this month during their summer vacation because of "severe testing irregularities." State officials could not recall another time Texas students were asked to return en masse during the summer to retake tests. Dallas schools and Texas Education Agency officials would not elaborate on the irregularities on Thursday or confirm whether cheating on the test occurred, The Dallas Morning News reported._______
This is "cheating scandal" labeled irregularities. Never have this many students had to retake TAKS during summer months. Dallas bureaucrats use "wordplay" to avoid headline with "cheating scandal" terminology.
