Has DISD had a massive cheating scandal on TAKS test?

DALLAS (AP) - About 407 recent eighth-graders at a Dallas middle school are being urged to retake the state's math exam this month during their summer vacation because of "severe testing irregularities." State officials could not recall another time Texas students were asked to return en masse during the summer to retake tests. Dallas schools and Texas Education Agency officials would not elaborate on the irregularities on Thursday or confirm whether cheating on the test occurred, The Dallas Morning News reported.

This is "cheating scandal" labeled irregularities. Never have this many students had to retake TAKS during summer months. Dallas bureaucrats use "wordplay" to avoid headline with "cheating scandal" terminology.

Texas Republican Party ChairWoman Tina Benkiser spoke at local feminist gathering sponsored by Lubbock Republican Women's meeting. The local LARW(feminists) is an offensive group with jokers like Marta Rosas and other "wrong thinkers" too numerous to mention. These goofballs are ones who thing women are equal to men and their ideas are as "off the wall" as they come. Known republican milktoast married men Delwin Jones(also member of local League of Women Voters-another feminist organization) and Carl Isett were in attendance at this perfumy,nauseating gathering. Benkiser is virtually unknown and hopeful will become obscure sooner rather than later.

LCR UPDATE on city water ordinance violation

LCR UPDATE

Yesterday this blog did an exclusive on a fire hydrant that was in violation of the City of Lubbock water ordinance in the 2800 block of Baylor St. This editor called both Lubbock Water Utilities AND Lubbock Fire Department on this situation and informed them LCR would do a special report on this neglect of this fire hydrant. Since the time of that special report(yesterday) Lubbock Water Utilities has replaced or rebuilt the fire hydrant in question to stop the obvious waste of water. Question is,Why did water department ignore repeated calls from the residents asking for the hydrant to be fixed. It was in leaky condition for an extended period,about a month.

Lubbock AJ and Lubbock County set new low in putrid conduct

Yesterday the AJ proved that they are as "low as they come" in using a family's grief to rehash a local double murder/suicide. The local orthodontist that killed his mother-in-law,wife and himself was mentally ill and his actions were inexcusable. The only thing worse was the graphic detail of his lunacy being published by the AJ including gory details thrown in by a "bald headed pig" from Lubbock Sheriff's office named Don Carter. Lubbock County and AJ proved in this story they are as "sick in the head" as most have suspected. This tragic triple death occured months ago and now AJ and Lubbock County "pigs" want to revive this tragic event to get more readers and give Don "pighead" Carter coverage in the paper.

Texas franchise tax exemption increased

About 800 businesses in the Abilene area could be affected by a new tax break Gov. Rick Perry signed into law this week, according to a local CPA. The law more than triples the small-business franchise tax exemption from $300,000 a year in revenue to $1 million a year. The Texas state franchise tax is now a lighter load on small businesses that do less than $1 MILLION in gross receipts. This does mean that big businesses like Wal-Mart will continue to pay this tax and customers will have to pay for this ill-conceived business tax. Business must collect all expenses from customers in the form of profits.
