Were Alan White,Tom Martin and John Leonard involved in Ted Parker saga at Lubbock City Hall?

Reprint of Re: to AJ editorial that wants Ted Parker case resolved in both civil and criminal proceeding.

"notsoproudlubbocknative"
The federal investigators have a large portion of the evidence in their possession. Does anyone remember the raid on city hall a few days before Tom Martin was sworn in? Does anyone remember that Tom Martin's campaign treasurer was implicated in providing inside information to Mr. Parker? Does anyone remember that the FBI confiscated John Leonard's computer to preserve the evidence that Mr. Leonard had been the "insider" that provided Mr. White (Mr. Martin's treasurer) that information? Does any one remember that Mr. White now is on a Civic Lubbock committee that provided Mr. Boren "grant money" to promote events in the Coliseum? Does anyone remember when the McDougal's pushed anything and everything they wanted in the Overton area and Gilbreath, Martin, and Boren voted en bloc to insure those measures passed. If the City Council dismisses this lawsuit they should all be recalled. Wouldn't it be ironic if they dropped the lawsuit and a few months later several of them were indicted by the Department of Justice!!!!
_______
This is a RE on the AJ editorial that wants Ted Parker case to go through civil and criminal court. This editor has found one flaw in this since Karen Martin was Tom Martin's campaign treasurer and NOT Alan White. LCR can not vouch for accuracy of this account.

UMC has books out-of-balance and lavish employee expenses

A trip in an ambulance can be one of the most important rides of your life. And with ambulance rides to Lubbock hospitals ranging from $329 to more than $980 each, they can be one of the costliest short rides of your life. Despite the 20,424 rides taken at those rates by Lubbock-area residents in 2008, Lubbock EMS operates at a loss - a more than $3 million loss last year alone, according to a 2008 income statement for the service. Lubbock EMS provides emergency ambulance service and other non-emergency transport to facilities such as Lubbock's University Medical Center and Covenant Medical Center.____(AJ/Adam Young copy)
_____

UMC has a bookkeeping problem. Greg Bruce "claims" that UMC loses $3 million on EMS when in reality he and his republican county commissioner buddies(Jones,McCay and Heinrich)conspired with Democrat Doyce Middlebrook and "Sleazy" Republican Marc McDougal(both UMC board members and Patti Jones cronies)to give away over $2.3 million of taxpayer money in "employee bonuses" and they also squandered another few hundred thousand bucks in taxpayer dollars on "cellphone bill" for 300 "lazy good-for-nuthin" UMC alleged public servants.
Oh Greg,Your Books Are Poorly Managed and In Need Of a Bookkeeper!!
Editor's NOTE
It's unclear if this Adam Young(AJ reporter) is the same one pretending to be a weatherman at Ch.28. The story does look cloudy.

Jim Bob Darnell loses grasp of what is ethical

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A local attorney went to jail rather than testify against a former client Thursday. Before a Lubbock jury sentenced Donald Johnson to 25-years in prison, the sitting judge sent Johnson's former attorney to jail. Johnson's former court-appointed attorney Ben Webb was subpoenaed June 2nd to testify against his client. Citing attorney-client privilege, Webb refused to answer the prosecution's questions. The 140th District Court's Judge Jim Bob Darnell found Webb in contempt of the court. NewsChannel 11 spoke with a colleague of Webb, local Criminal Defense Attorney David Guinn who says Webb did the right thing._____(KCBD/Ann Wyatt Little copy)
_______

Jim Bob Darnell has proven he'll do anything including the unethical to get an accused criminal convicted. To try and get a former lawyer to testify against a former client is against ethics and maybe even written law. Jim Bob Darnell is a known "doofus" and an elected "Bozo Republican" judge that is also a Monterey "Peon" High School bummer.

D for Debt Day at Lubbock AJ

Today is another deadline day for Morris Papers(AJ parent company)to arrange to pay a whopping $9 MILLION debt service payment. Banks who have been propping up AJ and other Morris properties have received stimulus payments in the infamous "bank bailout" while papers chug right along not paying their debt service. If a regular business person or homeowner missed their payments foreclosure would happen so quickly that it would be no big deal. Morris papers continue to reduce size of their printed papers, peddle government propaganda and misinform the public when not informing them at all while getting local government ads through bloated ad revenues. It's time for creditors to say "Pay Up Or Shut Down" all your papers.
