A trip in an ambulance can be one of the most important rides of your life. And with ambulance rides to Lubbock hospitals ranging from $329 to more than $980 each, they can be one of the costliest short rides of your life. Despite the 20,424 rides taken at those rates by Lubbock-area residents in 2008, Lubbock EMS operates at a loss - a more than $3 million loss last year alone, according to a 2008 income statement for the service. Lubbock EMS provides emergency ambulance service and other non-emergency transport to facilities such as Lubbock's University Medical Center and Covenant Medical Center.____(AJ/Adam Young copy)

UMC has a bookkeeping problem. Greg Bruce "claims" that UMC loses $3 million on EMS when in reality he and his republican county commissioner buddies(Jones,McCay and Heinrich)conspired with Democrat Doyce Middlebrook and "Sleazy" Republican Marc McDougal(both UMC board members and Patti Jones cronies)to give away over $2.3 million of taxpayer money in "employee bonuses" and they also squandered another few hundred thousand bucks in taxpayer dollars on "cellphone bill" for 300 "lazy good-for-nuthin" UMC alleged public servants.
Oh Greg,Your Books Are Poorly Managed and In Need Of a Bookkeeper!!
Editor's NOTE
It's unclear if this Adam Young(AJ reporter) is the same one pretending to be a weatherman at Ch.28. The story does look cloudy.
