Drunk driver sends motorcyclist and passenger to hospital

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man faces drunk driving charges after an accident in central Lubbock. Police say 38-year-old Gerald Garza hit a motorcycle at 44th and Boston around 7:00 p.m. Sunday night. He fled the scene, but police caught him a short time later. At last report, the driver of the motorcycle, 26-year-old Jonathan Trotter was in serious condition at University Medical Center. His passenger, 22-year-old Kris Laffere is listed as satisfactory. Garza is charged with two counts each of intoxicated assault and failure to render aid.____(KCBD copy/screen capture)

Another alleged drunk driver has sent a motorcyclist and passenger to the hospital and then fled the scene. Too many drunkards are getting in vehicles and becoming public nuisances.
