Lubbock County Register-EXCLUSIVE!
Todd Klein(known Democrat) is now on a taxpayer funded trip to Japan as part of a exchange program that's gives a lucky council member(and family) a free vacation to Japan every year. This editor learned that a couple of city employees also went to chaperon Mr.Klein's family members. This information is sketchy but the tax dollars spent may be substantial. City Council doesn't meet again until after the run-off election Saturday so Klein will have ample time to "live it up" in Japan before returning to Lubbock for first council meeting with newly seated council members. Mr.Klein's political party(Democrat) has had a history of lavious vacations disquised as official taxpayer supported travel junkets. This editor is on record as referring to Klein as a "big phony" and his travel expenses on this Japan trip will support that "big phony" tag on his resume that has him billed as conservative. A local Libertarian has been pushing this "big phony" and that Libertarian will now have to clean that egg off his face." Egg On Face" is common when one puts their faith in ANY politician.
